The lighting in some of your shots is just amazing! Are these digital photos originally? Or film that is then put into a file? It is unusual for digital technology to capture such nuances of the light.
In answer to Will's question about digital and lighting, yes, this was shot with a Canon D60 digital SLR. I am not averse to digital optimization of image files, however, this one came out this way with no help from me other than standard tweaks to account for what Blogger takes away when they upload, and that is just to make it look the same on my blog page as it does straight out of camera and on my calibrated monitor initially. (If anyone can answer the question of how Blogger manages to strip out color and contrast when they upload, I'd love to know how and why.)
We have some pretty amazing light up here in the Pacific Northwest on cloudy days, especially in late afternoon when the sun peeks out from just above the horizon, below the clouds, and that is how the range of light in this photo was captured.
A lover of art in all it’s forms, I strive to express myself in a manner that allows others to see the world through my eyes. By Jennifer Robin and Robin’s Woods are a homage to my darling mother whose greatest unfulfilled passion was self expression. I hope I make her proud.
Jennifer Robin is the name that my darling mother had chosen for me. Alas, she was overruled, but I honor her by using it here and whenever I can. Curiously enough, Jennifer and Robin have the same meanings as my given first and middle names. Some things were just meant to be.
Where I live...
Robin’s Woods, of course. My husband and I call a log cabin in the midst of our 42 acres of forest our home, and are amongst thousands more wooded acres. It is our very own personal paradise, definitely a wish-come-true.

Your sense of lighting and composition is just remarkable. If I didn't already love beach scenes, this photo would make me a believer.
