New! Thanks-Giving Thursdays

Inspired by so many positive influences and happenings in my day to day existence, and driven by a desire for a regular outlet for recognizing them with thanks, (and a perpetual lack of Thursday blogging material!) I am starting a new Thursday blogging tradition. Rather than jump on the bandwagon of existing memes, I choose to start a new one, with (almost) no rules, that anyone can feel comfortable joining in whenever moved to do so.

Let's face it, giving thanks for the good things in our lives is fun and healthy, andon-denominational. So, here's the rules: Leave a comment here if you'd like people to have a way to find your post, and no spamming please. I'll do a Thanks-Giving Thursday post somewhere around 12:01 AM EST every Thursday so there'll be a consistent place to post your "mine's up" comments. Feel free to grab the graphic if you'd like to display it in your post or sidebar, and link back to me. That's it. Let the thanks begin!

I'd like to say a huge public thank you this week to a fellow blogger who has gone above and beyond the call of friendship to give me numerous special gifts. Gail of Juicy Julz lives in my birthplace of Brantford, Ontario, Canada, and upon finding that her mother and mine had both owned identical sets of pearls, purchased in the same place no less, went on a quest to provide me with dozens of pictures of my mother's childhood home, neighborhood, and family cemetery.
