Back in 2004, I was privileged to be allowed into the defunct Knight Foundry to take pictures of the remains of this historic water powered ironworks from the gold rush era. I wasn't sure at that time what I would do with the results of this rare look into a piece of California's history, but started going through them again recently and decided to start sharing some of them here.

Thanks for sharing. I sometimes find an old building to shoot and I love poking around the dusty corners seeing what part of history I can come up with...
Good job!
Nice. I love pictures like this.
It's like a Time Capsule!
That photo of the card catalog is my favorite. A definite framing opportunity! Card catalogs represent our past in many ways and the balance of shape and color is perfect! Bravo!
Very cool photos!!
those are really cool photos. i would have them framed as a series and up on my wall. but i'm into the "old" theme when it comes to decorating.
I love these type of photos - makes me wonder about the history here..
Fabulous!
Antique building and articles are a favorite photography subject. I love these pictures. Thanks for sharing them.
What awesome pictures. I just love old buildings and things to inspire me.
