Happy Holiday Wishes from Robin's Woods!
It's a breathtakingly beautiful snowy day here in the woods, and I thought I'd take the time to share a picture of one of our junkos playing in the snow. His friends the blue jays and the spotted towhees aren't nearly so cooperative about having their portrait taken, but this little guy was a real ham. The birdbath he is sitting on is now completely obscured by snow!

Really nice to see you have a post up and such a beautiful photo as always! I was hoping when you put up your "farewell" post that you might find the time for an occasional post. You have really had some snow this year haven't you? Anyway, I hope you have a wonderful holiday season also and that 2009 finds you with the time to treat us to at least a few of your beautiful photographs.
It is a white festive season in New Brunwsick, Canada. We are savoring the cold spell of Jack Frost. The birds that stick around seem to thrive on this. The Blue Jays are simply amazing!
I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don't know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.
